Orange County Youth Soccer Club is a local recreational sports organization promoting youth soccer in the region.

  • Formation and Affiliation: The Orange County Youth Soccer Club operates under the South Texas Youth Soccer Association, a nonprofit formed in 1979 to promote youth soccer participation and development through programs and league activities in Orange, Texas. OCYS itself is a 501(c)(3) organization with tax-exempt status and a long-standing presence in the community.

  • Community Impact and Operations: The club focuses on recreational soccer for children in Orange County and surrounding areas, emphasizing participation, skill development, and community engagement. It operates facilities like the Orange County Youth Soccer Complex at 6610 FM 105, which serves as a hub for games and practices. Active community involvement allows OCYS to operate solely on membership dues and fundraising events.

  • Leadership and Continuity: Leadership has involved local community members forming a structured organization, with community volunteers driving its mission. The club has no paid employees, relying on volunteer efforts to sustain its programs.​
